Ruthie Redmond

Ecosystems & People Co-Chair

 

Ruthie Redmond is a native-Austinite and a proud geriatric millennial living in California. She is the Senior Program Manager of Strategic Initiatives at the US Water Alliance, a national nonprofit organization advancing policies and programs that build a sustainable water future for all. In her desire to save the world via water sustainability, she has over ten years of experience in water resources and is focused on policy change that integrates the three E's of sustainable development (economics, the environment, and equity) into water policy and management. Her perspective is informed by her various positions in water policy, ranging from regulatory to non-profit to municipal. She holds a B.S. in Geography - Resource and Environmental Studies from Texas State University. 

With the Climigration Network she hopes to explore how green infrastructure, water resources, and equitable development can meet the needs of people and the planet. Some of Ruthie's favorite things are wind, fractals, samba, talking with her mom, spiritual development, and seaweed.
