Kristin Kelleher is the Programs Director at The Climate Action Business Association (CABA) based in Boston Massachusetts. Watching sea level rise affect her hometown of Newburyport, Massachusetts inspired Kristin on her journey in the environmental field. She knows communication is key in adapting to our changing climate, and so she’s always working to develop strong and reliable communication channels with CABA’s member businesses, within vulnerable communities and with key stakeholders in the legislature. Kristin leads CABA's Businesses Acting on Rising Seas Campaign (BARS), informing community leaders and local businesses about the urgency of climate change and the need to incorporate climate resilient practices in planning. The BARS Campaign engages with businesses, local urban planners, conservation agents, Chambers of Commerce and key coastal management and climate change advocates. Kristin also works within the Resilient Urban Neighborhoods Green Justice Coalition exploring the feasibility of community microgrids in Chelsea and Chinatown. Kristin enjoys adding new skills to her arsenal and her ultimate passion is to act as an advocate for our communities, ensuring they have the tools to be resilient and sustainable. She holds a Master of Arts in Environment, Politics and Globalization from King's College London and a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University.
